Rebels Football Shocks Hewlett
Coming off of tough losses against Division and Valley Stream Central, in which the offense produced only six points while giving up 56, the last place Great Neck South Rebels varsity football team surprised the third place Hewlett Bulldogs 35-20.

UCF Five Mile Run
As autumn closes in, the annual Great Neck United Community Fund Five Mile Run can't be too far off. This year's race, scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 8 at the US Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point will be the 21st consecutive year for the event. Jose Lopez, chairman of the Great Neck South Middle School Physical Education Department and popular cross country coach, will be this year's race director. Allen Honig of Poultry Mart, an enthusiastic sponsor of the event for several years, lends his financial support, once again, this year. The race promises to include a very competitive field of runners. Join UCF on Nov. 8 for a fun-filled morning.
