A major hurdle in the obstacle course for the subdivision and eventual development of the Cohan property was bounded on May 31 when the Kings Point Planning Board gave preliminary approval to the "concept of the subdivision plan" and to the necessary variances to implement the plan. The torch has been handed to the Kings Point Board of Appeals that will meet on June 15. In a ruling that was a major setback for the Great Neck Park District, the board also voted that it would not be necessary for the applicant to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement. FULL STORY

In another successful season, the members of the girls track team have excelled both as individuals and as a team. The Rebels finished with an 8-4 record and finished third in the division championships.
