This is Great Neck's 16th annual street festival, and the sixth annual AutoFest. Each year the festival has been growing ... becoming one of the largest fall festivals in the region. Last year the festival had an overwhelming response from attendees, and this year an even larger crowd is expected at the festival with even more excitement and enthusiasm from participants as well as attendees. AutoFest Chairperson Jay Corn commented, "With over 30,000 visitors last year, the auto show was an overwhelming success, and we are expecting no less from this year's festival. We are pleased to welcome back participants from last year, and we are looking forward to meeting newcomers to Great Neck Plaza."
"This event has introduced our community and unique shopping opportunities to thousands of visitors. Great Neck is a truly special place for families to spend their day and do their shopping," Corn continued. "The expanded antique show, new rides and attractions, special performances by JAM Dance Troupe and the Tiger Schulman Karate School will be among the special showcases of this year's event."
An expanded antique and collectibles show will take place on Bond Street, North Station Plaza and Grace Avenue up to Park Place. Over 65 quality vendors are expected to showcase a wide variety of antique items for sale. The festival will take place on Middle Neck Road from the entrance of the Gardens at Great Neck to Cedar Drive, and on portions of Bond Street, Grace Avenue, North Station Plaza, Great Neck Road, and Cutter Mill Road. As always, there is no charge to attend the festival.
