Thursday, Nov. 23, Thanksgiving Day, Parkwood Rink will be open from 10 a.m. to noon and again from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The rink will close at 4:30 p.m. On Friday, Nov. 24, rink hours will be 10 a.m. to noon, 1 to 4:30 p.m. and 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. On Sunday morning, Dec. 10, from 10 to noon, each paid adult admission to Parkwood Rink will receive free coffee and a bagel-and each paid child's admission will get free juice and a bagel. Happy breakfast and happy skating! The complimentary food is from John Fonda, proprietor of the Sports Grill.

Join your classmates for an afternoon of school spirit and skating at Parkwood Rink. Fliers are being sent to schools and if children bring their fliers to the rink on their special day, they'll receive a free hot-baked pretzel with every paid admission! The free pretzel is being supplied by John Fonda's Sports Grill.

All School Skate Days run from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on the following dates. Be sure to make a note of the date for your school: Lakeville School, Wednesday, Dec. 6; Saddle Rock School, Friday, Dec. 8; J.F. Kennedy School, Wednesday, Dec. 13, and E.M. Baker School, Friday, Dec. 15. There will be a second round of School Skate Days coming up in January.

Learn how Mother Nature survives the cold. Park residents are welcome to meet teacher/naturalist Virginia Dankel at the Steamboat Road entrance to Kings Point park on Saturday, Dec. 9, at 3 p.m. for this brisk exercise. No registration is required.
