Each summer, and sometimes during the school year too, we have been fortunate to have had some pretty terrific interns. Talented, eager young writers seem to find their way to the Great Neck Record office time after time. And we could not be happier!
An extra pair of hands around the office, some more great stories for our readers --- of course we welcome our interns. In return, we hope that these young students learn from their newspaper experience. They have the opportunity not only to hone their writing and reporting skills, but to actually learn how a newspaper is run, to learn a bit about the business world, and to meet some pretty interesting people. And we think that they have a lot of fun along the way too!
This is a call for all of our high school and college age readers. If you need a school internship in the field of journalism, or if you have some free time (especially this summer) and you just love to write, remember the Great Neck Record.
We do have room for interns! Just give us a call!
