The Manhasset Bullets, a girls' soccer team, won the Virginian Cup over Memorial Day Weekend. This triumph was a great accomplishment for the talented group of mostly 14-16-year-olds. In order to participate in the Virginian Cup, the team has to apply and be accepted. To get on the team, you have to try out. There are 17 people on the team. "Many of the members of this team have been together since third grade," says Genelle Taney, a sophomore at Great Neck North High. Genelle, who joined more recently, plays midfield. The Manhasset Bullets practice three times a week, for one and a half hours per day. So far all season this soccer team has been undefeated in their division 1 premiere category. As for next year's goals, they would like to win this tournament again.
