Harry Alexander, a long time resident of Great Neck, died on Aug. 3, 2001, after a long illness. He was an attorney active in civil rights and social causes. He was the attorney for the National Showman's Association and a member of the National Lawyers Guild. He is survived by his wife Helen Alexander, pianist and retired Great Neck teacher; five children; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. First Year in Heaven. A wonderful husband, the greatest dad, the best grampy a kid ever had. A year has gone by and we still often cry. We miss you so much, your warm smile and gentle touch. A special man and everyone's friend, that is true, because you touched the hearts of everyone you knew.
