The Great Neck Record is delighted to receive your press releases and photographs. We love to publish your stories and your news. In fact, that is what we are all about --- local stories about local people. But it is often impossible to use the handwritten material that is submitted. Sometimes we have time to retype a one-sentence or two-sentence press release, but then the names and places are often incorrect because we cannot read the handwriting. Longer handwritten press releases are hardly ever processed. Our professional typists just cannot take the time to decipher such work.
So if you want your news published in the Record, please take the time to type your press releases. And remember, if you are submitting photos, type the caption on a separate sheet of paper --- do not write the caption on the back of the photo.
We love your stories, but we have no magical powers to read handwritten work. Typed press releases only, please!
