Miriam Landesberg, a 35-year resident of Great Neck and an esteemed Hebrew teacher, died on Aug. 28, 2001. She was born in Jerusalem. Her family "Mann" dates back 11 generations. She worked for the Hebrew University in Israel and in New York and for the Israeli Mission to the UN with Abba Eben and Gideon Rafael. Beloved wife of the late Julius. Adored mother of Roy. Kaplan, of Great Neck, died on Sept. 1, 2001. A CPA, he wrote a book on magic that has become a classic, The Fine Art of Magic.
