There is so much to do in Great Neck! No one need be bored or just "hangin' out." This weekend is the Old Village Crafts Fair and the Great Neck Library's book sale, and next week is the UCF Golden Gala dinner dance. Why not consider all of these wonderful events!

This Sunday, May 2, the Old Village's 26th Annual Crafts Fair runs just about all day (11 a.m. to 6 p.m.) on Middle Neck Road in the Old Village. What a fantastic opportunity to do some unique one-stop shopping for Mother's Day, Father's Day, graduation, birthdays, anniversaries and just about any occasion a gift is in order. And what a fun way to spend some time outdoors, meet your neighbors and entertain the little ones.

Need a little indoor time? Come to the Great Neck Library's spring book sale on Sunday, noon to 4 p.m., at the Main Library on Bayview Avenue. Discover some terrific book buys!

Then, come Thursday evening, May 6, there is the very special UCF 50th anniversary Golden Gala, celebrating 50 years of serving this community and honoring 50 residents who have given so much to Great Neck and to the United Community Fund of Great Neck and North New Hyde Park. Just call the UCF office at 482-8101 to reserve your spot at the dinner dance at the Village Club at Lake Success.

Please do come out to the fair and to the book sale on Sunday and then join the 50th anniversary celebration for UCF next week. Enjoy Great Neck!
