On Nov. 7, at the board meeting of the Village of Great Neck, a 16-page memo from the legal firm of Jaspan Schlesinger Hoffman to the village trustees was distributed to the audience. The memo reported on their investigation of Mayor Richard Deem's actions in the Village of Kings Point and his use of village staff and resources.

Plaza Special Daily Metered Parking to Part-time and Seasonal Workers
In an effort to answer the needs of the merchants in the Plaza, Mayor Jean Celender announced that there will be thirty parking spaces allocated for "Daily Meter Parking by Special Permit Only" available now at Village Hall. This is a pilot program starting with thirty metered parking spaces in a designated section on the roof top of the Plaza Center garage. This reserved metered parking will be available on a first come, first served basis and are only available to seasonal and part time employees of merchants in the Village of Great Neck Plaza.

Great Neck Seniors 50+ Volleyball Tournament
Most people reading about Great Neck seniors playing volleyball would, no doubt, think of high school-aged players. But a Nov. 4 tournament held at Locust Valley High School involved another kind of Great Neck senior. These seniors were all over the age of 50!
