Great Neck’s own Dennis Grossman was just honored by the Nassau Council Chambers of Commerce at its 29th annual Small Businessperson of the Year Legislative Breakfast.
Each of the 37 participating chambers of commerce recognized their small businessperson of the year with an awarded citation signed by Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano. The Great Neck Chamber of Commerce honored Grossman, the president and chief operating officer of DMI Business Consulting Group, which he founded in 1981.
The chairman of the Village of Great Neck’s board of zoning appeals, Grossman has also been involved in the construction of housing developments and commercial real estate projects and has founded companies in jewelry manufacturing and the smelting of precious metals.
Grossman is an at large executive board member of the Nassau County Council Chambers of Commerce and is first vice president of the Great Neck Chamber of Commerce.
Professionally, Grossman is an executive management business turnaround consultant, restructuring a diverse range of companies. His career also includes the construction of housing developments, commercial real estate projects and real estate management. Grossman also founded a successful precious metals smelting, processing, assaying, mining and trading company.
Grossman later founded and added a jewelry tools/supplies company and a jewelry manufacturing company. Formerly, the COO of New York’s largest precious metals refiner as well as a Citicorp executive (Automation Research and Planning & Strategic Project Administration), Grossman was also a team leader with the Economic Development Council to restructure part of the New York City Department of Social Services and Jobs Program.
As a professional coach, Grossman does both personal and business coaching and has mentored and helped many businesses and individuals, moving from what they are currently doing towards what they want to do.
