Open Door announces the creation of an expanded program for Fall 2010 that will give parents of 2 year olds the option to chose two, three or four day morning programs, one of which will include lunch with the teachers on Fridays.
Parents of children under 2 years old will be excited to hear of Open Door’s “Come and Play” group which will be offered from 3 to 4:30 p.m. two-days-a-week. Upon waking from an afternoon nap, children under 2 are often raring to go and now there will be a great place to play and learn together with a parent, grandparent or caregiver. Another new addition is the Tuesday AM toddler program with an option to add on another day as a child turns 2 years old, and an afternoon Baby and Me groups for families with infants and older pre-walking babies.
Open Door’s 3 year old program continues to be offered from 12:15 to 2:45 p.m. and will include a stay for lunch option on Fridays. In response to feedback from Open Door parents, Open Door has expanded the parent group program to include several options including an evening couples group and evening parenting workshops to allow flexibility so that no one is limited by daytime parent groups.
Open Door continues to be committed to helping parents discover the uniqueness of their child through a gradual and gentle separation process with an emphasis on mutual respect for the different ways and timetables that a child’s personality emerges.
Open Door’s talented early childhood teachers have been helping young children discover the joy of learning for over 20 years.
