Friday, 02 September 2011 00:00As the season draws to a close at the magnificent Steppingstone Waterside Theatre, we absolutely must take this time to thank the Great Neck Park District for yet another simply superb summer of spectacular performances! Weekend after weekend, park district members and their guests are treated to wonderful performances against the breath-taking background of the Long Island Sound.
How fortunate we are to have this incomparable facility, for one and all to enjoy. And how really lucky we are as a community to have a park district that puts so much time and effort and talent into putting together such magical weekends.
It’s easy to take this gem for granted, as I admit I often have. But each time I go, I am more and more impressed at the spectacular shows and beautiful venue.
Thank you to all at the park district, with a special “big thanks” to Park District Superintendent Leonard Celluro, Jr. and park district commissioners, Bob Lincoln, Ivar Segalowitz and Ruth Tamarin. You have a lot to be proud of! And we have much to be grateful for.
So, when you are making your summer weekend plans, think Steppingstone Waterside Theatre first. A great, professional show awaits you. Bring a picnic supper and you are set for a wonderful evening!
