Do come to the Great Neck Public Schools Adult Program Open House for the Arts this Sunday, Nov. 6, from 1 to 5 p.m., at the Cumberland Adult Center, 30 Cumberland Avenue. The Open House is an opportunity for the community to see lifelong learning in action. And, most importantly, this year the open house is a unique opportunity to honor someone very special, Ronna Telsey.
Ronna Telsey, a longtime Great Neck resident, has directed the Adult Program since 1993. Ms. Telsey has long been involved in the community and has served in several other critical positions in the school district over the years. The open house is a wonderful opportunity to thank Ronna for her long career with the school district, as director of public information (from 1979 to 2011) and as director of adult education.
The Open House also offers an afternoon of free workshops, demonstrations, faculty and student art exhibits, and crafts sale.
The Great Neck Board of Education supports education for adults through its fee-based Adult Program, recognized as one of the most successful of its kind. The Adult Program has received accolades from LERN, the international Learning Resources Network, and other respected organizations.
Come and enjoy a taste of all that the Adult Program has to offer. And don’t miss this unique opportunity to honor Ronna Telsey and all that she has done for the Great Neck School District.
Ronna is one special person! Come and say “hi,” come and say “thank you.”
