In just their first season together, the Great Neck Condors U-10 soccer team finished strong, taking home the Memorial Day Tournament Trophy, as well as winning first place in the Long Island Junior Soccer League.
“Throughout the year, the team demonstrated tremendous work ethic and improvement” said Coach Cesar Vallejo. “Winning all of our division games except one was a great accomplishment for this young team and is a testament to their hard work” said Trainer Andre Higgins. The team was successfully guided by Cesar and Andre who helped teach the kids to grow as individuals and to learn to play as a team. The Condors boast a high powered offense with Dylan Silverstein, Kyle Berlinsky, Bradley Goodstein, Bradley Davis, Harry Schildkraut, Tanner Zar, and a lock down defense anchored by goalie Jonathan Farkas and bolstered by the defensive support of Nathan Vallejo, Jacob Neiderman, Sam Livers, Robert Sirotkin, and Jacob Portnoy.
The Condors look forward to even more great things in their second year starting in the fall.
