The Great Neck PAL 5th and 6th grade boys lacrosse team beat Freeport on Sunday, April 29 for their first victory of the season. After falling behind 1-0, Great Neck scored three consecutive goals and never gave up the lead, finishing with a 9-6 victory. Midfielder Craig Cagner had a goal and four assists to lead the team in scoring. Attackman Joe Spinello and midfielder Jack Tucker contributed two goals apiece. Also finding the back of the net were Andrew Cagner, Raymond Gresalfi, Jon Carlos Saponara and Justin Menos. The defense was led by goalie Max Gal and strong efforts were submitted from defensemen Matthew Choi, Dylan Schmid, Harrison Nettler and Ky Salerno. With the win, the team improved their record to 1-1.
