There are many wonderful opportunities for ice skating lessons at the Great Neck Park District’s Andrew Stergiopoulos Ice Rink at the Parkwood Sports Complex on Arrandale Avenue. Young and old, there are amazing ice skating lessons waiting for you!
The park district’s skate school offers programs that are designed to develop a skaters’ natural ability and encourage future athletes. Within the school there are many programs available for the various needs of park district skaters. It is never too late to sign up. The park district urges residents to feel free to call the skate school to learn about all of the private or group lessons.
The next semester for group classes begins on Monday, Feb. 1. Join the park district for the Open House on Wednesday, Jan. 27 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. and learn all about ice skating lessons. Private lessons may be arranged with a professional and can be taught during any of the park district’s many public or freestyle sessions. For the children, there is a great Holiday Mini Camp to keep them happy and busy over the upcoming February break! There will be three options to choose from: Tennis & Skate Camp, Tennis Camp or Skate Camp. The program runs from Monday, Feb. 15 and goes through Friday, Feb. 19 at the Parkwood Sports Complex.
