Andrew Allen of Great Neck held a charity bike ride on Sunday, May 17, and raised funds for The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (MJFF).
Although the weather was damp, the cycling ride was a bright spot for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Great Neck resident Andrew Allen organized the fundraiser held here in town.
Cyclists of all ages attended this charitable event.
Teen riders Paul Allen, 12 and Donny Steinberg, 13 enthusiastically completed the 9-mile ride and contributed to the charity.
Special thanks go out to one of our business sponsors, The Bagel Mentch, which provided a hot bagel breakfast for our riders.
“Riders were already planning for the next event. I wish to thank everyone who made such generous donations on behalf of the MJF Foundation. Contributions are still gladly accepted,” said Allen.
The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research is dedicated to ensuring the development of a cure for Parkinson’s disease within this lifetime through an aggressively funded research agenda.
