The Hicksville Community Council will be hosting NYS Assemblyman Michael Montesano who will speak on the latest from the State, and a representative of the Nassau County Board of Elections. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Hicksville Library Computer Resource Center, 101 Jerusalem Ave.
Joseph Barry Knights of Columbus will be having at St. Patrick’s Day Dance. There will be corned beef, cabbage, Irish soda bread, dessert and coffee. Open bar and an Irish band. AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is a volunteer-run tax assistance and preparation service available to low and middle income taxpayers (about $60,000 or less) with special focus on seniors. Photo identification is required. Please bring all necessary forms, 1099s, W2 statements and last year’s tax return to your appointment.The tax help will be held in the Teen Center located on the lower level of the library. Tax preparation is by appointment only. Appointments will be given at the following time increments: 1:15 p.m.; 2:15 p.m.; 3:15 p.m.; and 4:15 p.m. every Tuesday until April 15. Space is limited.
