Congratulations to Hicksville runners Jill Loveland and Mary-Jo DePaoli, both taking home awards from the Jonas Chiropractic RunNassau Series Race # 4 at Eisenhower Park recently.
DePaoli took first place honors in the women’s 35-39 age group, crossing the finish line of this four-mile run in 30:30, a pace of 7:38 per mile. Loveland scored in second place in the women’s 25-29 group with a time of 29:51.
The Jonas Chiropractic RunNassau Series was conducted under the auspices of the Nassau County Department of Parks, Recreation and Museums, with race management chores being handled by the Greater Long Island Running Club.
“We were thrilled to be able to make this Series happen again this year,” noted Series Co-Director Larry Kurtzman. “After being forced to postpone the Old Bethpage race because of the February 8-9 snowstorm, the remainder of the series went off without any problems. Our congratulations to Race #4 local winners Jill Loveland and Mary-Jo DePaoli, and our thanks to Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano and Nassau Parks Commissioner Carnell Foskey for supporting running and fitness in this way.”
