The Village of New Hyde Park will hold its board of trustees meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 21 at 8 p.m. in Village Hall at 1420 Jericho Tpke., in New Hyde Park.
The Herricks High School Music Boosters will host a program, titled “How To Prepare For A NYSSMA Solo” on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. at the high school.
The Herricks School District Board of Education will meet on Thursday, Jan. 23 at 7:15 p.m. at the Herricks Community Center, located at 99 Herricks Road in New Hyde Park.
The Art League of Nassau County will feature artist SallyAnne Keller’s work will be on display at the Clinton G. Martin Recreation Center at 1601 Marcus Avenue in New Hyde Park on Friday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served. Admission is free. Professional videos of past demonstrations are available for rent for $5 (with a returnable deposit of $25).
Troop 298 in New Hyde Park will hold a pancake breakfast on Sunday, Jan. 26, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Holy Spirit Church, located at 500 Jericho Tpke. Admissions for ages 11-59, $6, 60-99, $5. Children 3-10 years old are $3. Scouts are $4, while children under 2 and adults over 100 eat for free.
The New Hyde Park-Garden City Park School District will hold a work session on Monday, Jan. 27 at 7:30 p.m. in the Manor Oaks School, located at 1950 Hillside Avenue in New Hyde Park.
The Herricks Community Fund’s Dinner Dance is Thursday, Jan. 30 from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Inn at New Hyde Park, located at 214 Jericho Turnpike in New Hyde Park.
Lexi Zisseslman of Herricks Middle School will host Kick For-A-Cure on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014 at the Hofstra University Practice Bubble from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in Uniondale. Proceeds will benefit the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
• Boy Scout Troop 200 Of Williston Park meets every Monday between 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church located at Willis Ave. and Winthrop St., Williston Park. Boys 11 to 17 are welcome to join.
• Irish American Society Social Gatherings every Monday at the Irish American Center, 297 Willis Ave., Mineola, from noon to 3 p.m. In the tradition and mission of the Irish American Society, we are here to make all welcome and be part of the local community. Bring lunch. Coffee and tea will be served. Play cards, board games or just sit and socialize. A film once a month. Ladies and gents welcome. Free to all. • The Port Washington-New Hyde Park Marine Corp League will now hold its meeting on the second Thursday of each month at 8 p.m. in the New Hyde Park Elks Lodge at 901 Lakeville Road in New Hyde Park. All marines are welcome.
