Assemblywoman Michelle Schimel will be sponsoring a Senior Citizen Law Day in cooperation with the Nassau County Bar Association’s Elder Law Committee on October 3 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The forum will be held at Clinton G. Martin Park, 1601 Marcus Avenue in New Hyde Park.
“In recent months, we have seen a significant increase in the number of constituents and their family members who have contacted my district office about various issues relating to elder care law. My Senior Citizen Law Day offers information on Elder Law and Estate Planning, Long Term Health Care and Planning for Someone with Special Needs,” said Assemblywoman Michelle Schimel.
A representative from the New York State Comptroller’s Office Department of Unclaimed Funds will be on hand to see if attendees have any monies coming to them. The program is also sponsored by Parker Jewish Institute, David Lerner Associates, and Riverside-Nassau North Chapel. A light breakfast will be served. Please contact Assemblywoman Michelle Schimel’s District Office with any questions at 482-6966.
