The Boys' Lacrosse team defeated Wisdom Lane 8-7 in a heated match that came down to the last seconds of the game. The boys all played exceptionally well together. Goals were scored by Jay Day with two goals and one assist, J.T. Famularo with two goals and two assists, Dan Gallante, Mike Kutzma and Mikey Gronenthal contributed with one goal each. Alex Zbikowski and Ed Jablonowski kept the team in the game with 15 and 10 saves respectively. The boys had a great end to a tough season.
The Girls' Lacrosse team played against Seaford who was undefeated until Island Trees defeated them with a score of 13-11. Goalie Brittany Sadowski had 14 saves. Captain Emily Lucas had four goals and two assists. Bridget Vilbig, Allison Merrill, Jessica Campisi and Brianna Ferrara added to the scoreboard. The team had a total of seven assists. Defender Alexis Goll played hard on defense. The Girls' Lacrosse team ended their season with a record of 7-2.
The eighth grade Softball team defeated Wisdom Lane 5-1. Kelly Durkin and Meghan Acton drove in two runs apiece. Raychel Buda played a great game in the field and at bat. Caitlin Collins also played an excellent game. The team finished their season 6-5.
The seventh grade Softball team played a great game defeating Bethpage 2-1 in the last inning. Ashley Bourgade's one-out triple put her in scoring position and gave her the opportunity to steal home on the next pitch. Maria DiFrancisco continued her hitting streak with a RBI in the first inning. Island Trees was solid on the defensive end with nice plays by Angela Federico, Stephanie Smith and Kaitlin Rice. Tori Tedeschi had another great game, scattering three hits and striking out eight. The Lady Dawgs finished the season with a 7-4 record.
