I don't know if you were just wondering what kind of "Good Neighbors" The Israel Community Center has been. Their parking lot is being used as a dumping ground.
There are now various critters in and out of the various piles. Calls to the Town Councilman, County Department of Health, Fire Marshal, Town Sanitation Inspectors, 911 at the time of the actual dumping and even a letter to Watchdog at Newsday all have gone unresolved.
Meanwhile, the fact is that in the beginning they were given this property from the Levitt organization to be used in support of the community. Now that they no longer have enough members to maintain a congregation, they have now abandoned their property and have allowed it to degrade to the level of a dumping ground and are now in the process of selling (something that was given to them) and taking "ALL" of that profit out of the community. I would think that they would at least do some minimal maintenance and at least reinstall the gate to prevent the dumping.
Well, thanks for your concern for the neighborhood.
