A fundraiser for the Spc. Daniel A. Fuentes Memorial Scholarship Fund is being held on Saturday, Nov. 14 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Farmingdale Lanes. The $20 per person includes three hours of bowling, pizza, soda and a camouflage wristband. Raffle prizes. Lane sponsorships available for $100 per pair. Donations will benefit the Daniel Fuentes Memorial Scholarship Fund and Wounded Warrior Program. Army Spc. Daniel A. Fuentes, 19, of Levittown, died April 6 while deployed in Iraq. His parents, Nancy and Armando Fuentes, established the Daniel Fuentes Memorial Scholarship Fund in April 2007 with the help and support of the Island Trees High School officials, supervisors and teachers for students to help and obtain a college education. Scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis to graduating high school seniors from eligible areas. Awards will be available to help cover the costs of tuition, fees, room, board and other required educational expenses.
