MacArthur HS Girls Varsity Tennis Undefeated This Season

The MacArthur Girls Varsity Tennis Team, coached by Tara Preston, clinched the Conference 4A Championship on Wednesday, Oct. 21 by defeating Clarke 5-2. Their playoff performance was the culmination of a competitive season, with the ladies maintaining their undefeated record of 12-0.

Lady Dragons Soccer Team Wins Conference Title

On Wednesday, Oct. 21 the Division Avenue Lady Dragons clinched the Conference 3 title with a 2-1 victory over Jericho High School. After winning their conference last season, they moved up to a much tougher conference this year.

MacArthur Varsity Cheerleading Raises Money for Breast Cancer Awareness

On Tuesday, Oct. 13, the MacArthur Varsity cheerleading team held a fundraiser in search of a cure for breast cancer. The cheerleaders sold over 250 pink hair extensions to students, faculty members and teachers at $10 per hairpiece.

Nassau County PAL Winter Program

Lacrosse - Boys Indoor - K through seventh grade - No contact, indoor winter lacrosse program. Held on Saturdays, late morning or afternoons depending upon enrollment (five, one-and-a-half hour sessions) at Levittown Memorial Education Center. The program starts in early January and runs into February. Loaner equipment is available to all participants, but children must have their own stick and mouthpiece. T-shirts included. Fee: $50.

 

Levittown X-Treme Soccer Team Takes Second Place in North Hempstead Cup

The GU11 Levittown X-Treme Soccer Team won second place over Columbus Day Weekend in the North Hempstead Cup Tournament at Tully Park. The girls won their first game against division rival Farmingdale 3-2 and tied their second game against Plainedge Old Bethpage 1-1 on Saturday.
