The Duke of Gloucester and Georgetown Commons stand as two perfect examples of condos that have provided Manhasset's senior citizens with options for them to remain in town and in most cases stay close to friends and family rather than moving, God knows where. We have friends there and since built neither has created the destructive effects that some residents seem to fear with the proposed Heritage condos. It's perplexing and I am sorry to see some of my fellow residents caught up in a controversy of distorted facts created by some to suit their own agendas.
Having lived in Manhasset since 1975 and in love with our community I see fewer options available to keep folks like me here close to friends and family. Is a four bedroom home for the two of us what we need to keep in order to enjoy an active retirement or can the Heritage fill our needs and others who simply do not want to leave Manhasset, The Heritage will bring several benefits to our community, most notably creating tax revenue where none has ever existed while requiring very little in terms of government services and will assist Christ Church's cash flow, helping to ensure it can
continue as it has been for over 200 years.
Having seen Mr. Puntillo's presentation and like many of my fellow residents, also had questions, all of which were answered to my satisfaction, enough so to support The Heritage and all the benefits it will bring to Manhasset.
