I believe New York state's future is hanging in the balance. Are we going to continue to drown in taxes or are we going to take a stand and control them? The recent recommendation to cap school taxes at 4 percent is the first real glimmer of political will coming out of the governor's office.

I can appreciate the pressure that the teacher's unions can put on you but as a representative who is supposed to be working in the public interest, it would be wonderful if you can summon the courage to stand up for what is right. Please support the cap and inform the assembly leader of your position.
