PHWC Philanthropic Brunch

Plandome Heights Women’s Club Spring Philanthropic Brunch at Port Washington Yacht Club from 11a.m. – 2 p.m. (Boutique Shopping begins at 10 a.m.).The event includes a buffet brunch, raffle prizes and a fashion show. Win With Your Teens Part II

The Social Justice Mental Health sub-committee of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock (UUCSR) will be hosting a Part II of a Win With Your Teens Well Being Workshop series at 1 p.m. in the Children’s Chapel of UUCSR (48 Shelter Rock Rd. Manhasset, NY 11030). There is a suggested $5 donation. This workshop will be led by Dr. Anthony DeCamello, a licensed psychologist affiliated with the North Shore-LIJ Health System. Win With Your Teens helps parents who want to develop or continue a nurturing relationship with their children through the adolescent years and beyond.

Library: Warblers by David Speiser

It’s time for spring migration and the arrival of those wonderful, colorful little birds to our area. David Speiser has been a birder and photographer for over 15 years and will show some of his photos at 7 p.m. which have been featured in the Central Park Zoo, Audubon Magazine, Birder’s World and many other publications. Parkinson’s Patient Support Group April 24

Winthrop-University Hospital’s Movement Disorders Program offers a Parkinson’s Patient Support Group for diagnosed individuals and their family members. The next session will be held from 4 to 5 p.m., at the Winthrop Wellness Pavilion, 1300 Franklin Avenue, Suite ML-5 in Garden City. It will provide information about "Lee Silverman Voice Training,” an innovative method for improving voice and speech with exercises that target vocal intensity, quality and variation.
