Pack 3 serves boys attending Munsey Park Elementary School, grades 1 - 5. The Annual North Hempstead Day commences at 10am at Mary Jane Davies Park in Manhasset. Students from throughout the town join together for this special day to experience the Town of North Hempstead’s history during a live performance by our elected officials. Helen Keller National Center for Deaf-Blind Youths and Adults is hosting its 17th annual walk-a-thon. This year a run component has been added to our event! The Town of North Hempstead’s Annual Kids Safety Day from 4pm to 6pm at Mary Jane Davies Park in Manhasset. This event offers unique safety tips for children and their families. This year’s activities and events include: public safety zones from the fire department and police department, child car seat safety checks, North Hempstead Child Safety I.D. kits and safety information on bike helmets, pets and the internet.
The BOE will hold its regular bi-weekly meeting at 8 p.m. in Manhasset High School.
Pumpkins will be available for sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in front of Manhasset Secondary School front field. Pumpkins, gourds and corn stalks will be sold at prices starting at $5. All proceeds will be donated to the charitable choice of the Manhasset elementary schools’ student councils and to the high school’s best buddies program.

The Board of Commissioners of the Manhasset-Lakeville Water and Fire District has a fall/winter/spring schedule of public official meetings. The board will meet every Tuesday and Thursday at 5 p.m. every month beginning September 10 to discuss the weekly business of the district. All meetings will be conducted in the boardroom at the district office, 170 East Shore Rd., Great Neck, unless other publicly notified. Regular office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The board is available daily to respond to concerns, questions, and issues of district residents pertaining to water or fire district matters.
