Village Elections Are Tuesday, March 20

All Elections Are Uncontested

Elections in most Manhasset villages will take place on Tuesday, March 20 from noon to 9 p.m. Petitions to file to run for office were due by the end of the business day on Feb. 14. All elections are uncontested.

Elections will be held in June in the Village of North Hills.

In Flower Hill, incumbent Trustee Elaine Phillips is running for a two-year term as mayor. Incumbent Trustee Scott Siller is running for another two-year term. Randall Rosenbaum and Karen Reichenbach are running for two-year trustee positions. All are running unopposed. All are members of the Flower Hill Party.

Mayor Charles W. Weiss has decided not to run for another term. Deputy Mayor William Clemency, Trustee Norman Glavas, and Trustee Avery Ryan have also decided not to run. The election will take place at the Flower Hill Village Hall, 1 Bonnie Heights Road.

In Munsey Park, incumbent Trustee Peter Puttre is running for another two–year term. Susan Hampton Auriemma is running for a two-year trustee position. All contestants are members of the Village Party and all elections are unopposed. The election will take place at the Munsey Park Village Hall, 1777 Northern Boulevard.

In Plandome, incumbent trustees Ray Herbert and Andrew Bartells are running for two-year terms. Mr. Bartells was appointed to complete Peter Kenny’s term of office. All elections are uncontested and all those running belong to the Citizen’s Party. The election will take place at the Plandome Village Hall, 65 South Drive.

In Plandome Heights, incumbent Trustee Ken Riscica is running for a two-year position as mayor. Incumbent trustees Alvin Solomon and Silva Ferman are running for re-election for two-year terms. Lynne Aloia is running for a two–year trustee position. Mayor Diana Merenda has decided not to run for re-election. All elections are uncontested, and all contestants are running under the Alliance Party. The election will take place at the Plandome Village Hall, 65 South Drive, Plandome.

In Plandome Manor, incumbent Trustee Anthony DeSousa is running for a two-year term. Patricia O’Neill is running for a two-year trustee position. Both contestants are members of the People’s Party. The election will take place at the Village Hall, located in the Science Museum of Long Island, 1526 N. Plandome Road, Plandome Manor.
