Mark Peterson already had long years of experience in the automobile business before he opened A&M Automotive in Manhasset in November 2008 and he was well known in the area. “I was the service manager for Biener Nissan in Great Neck for 35 years so when I decided to open my own business, I wanted to stay in this area where I already had an established following. I have always felt that the Manhasset community was my extended family,” he explains. “I enjoy the camaraderie and ‘family feeling’ within the community. It has been a great choice of location for me and my business,” he adds.
Peterson says his family is involved in the business too: “My wife helps with the paperwork and my children help by supporting any events we take part in here in the community.”
He describes his business philosophy as: “I believe in providing exceptional customer service and treating my customers like family. I pride myself on providing honest and fair pricing for our work. I also care about our customers and their satisfaction.”
Due to the technological changes in the automotive industry, Peterson says, “it’s imperative to remain current with these advances, and we do this constantly. Our customers expect this, and we don’t let them down.”
“My aim for the future is to continue to provide excellent automotive service to my customers,” he adds.
