Charlotte Maria Reissmuller Baranello of Manhasset, NY and Stuart, FL died Sunday, July 24 in her home, here in NY, peacefully after a 2 ½ year battle with endometrial cancer. She was reposed on Wednesday, July 27 at Holy Rood Cemetery after a funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church. Charlotte was born to the late Karl and Maya Reissmuller in Queens, NY on June 7, 1941.She just celebrated her 70th birthday in June.
She is survived by her husband James Sr. The couple would have celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary in September. She was the devoted mother of James Jr. and Tara Baranello, Andrew and Lauren Baranello, both these sons reside in Manhasset, Steven and Jennifer Baranello of Monroe, Connecticut, and Suzanne and David Hess of Garden City, NY. She was also the cherished grandmother of her eight grandchildren: Jimmy, Drew, Alex, Kaitlin, Jack, Marielle, Christopher and Ryan.
Charlotte was a strong willed and brilliant individual who gave everyone courage and hope during her battle with cancer. She treasured her time being around her family and friends who were blessed to know her. Her caring and loving heart will always be remembered as well as her love of nature, cooking and golf. Whether tears or smiles, Charlotte was always there with open arms.
Charlotte we stood by you through this tough time and we know you will now watch over us. You were adored by all. May the blessings of love be upon you, may its peace abide with you, and may its essence illuminate your heart, now and forever more. We will see you again; you will always be remembered in our hearts and souls, and your memory will live on.
