The election will be held at  who are up for reelection and to mark your calendar to vote on Tuesday, March 19th at Village Hall between 12 and 9 p.m.

I am As a 12-year resident of Munsey Park and have worked with the village and having worked with the village for many years--, first as a volunteer on traffic and safety matters, later as a liaison to other municipal government groups, and most recently as a trustee. I can say with firsthand experience how capable our current Board of Trustees is. Harry, Al, and Sheila  and how the board leads our village with a quiet and deep competence, which will be invaluable as the village meets the challenges of the upcomingnext four years.

When I first began working open ears and the necessary experience.  I first began working with the village as a volunteer on traffic and safety matters, serving as a liaison to other municipal entities and then a few years later decided to run for an open trustee position.

Having worked closely with Mayor Harry Nicolaides on traffic matters, I was immediately struck by, his concern for our residents,  his, his willingness to listen, and his receptiveness to the input of professionals. He I witnessed how he listened to the concerns of residents, obtained necessary professional input, and addressed the issues at hand in a way that was fair and pragmatic. ANow as a board member I have seem him display this same approach time and again, with respect to the wide variety of issuesam witness to this same approach when it comes to all types of issues that the board faces. I have seen this board balance respond to concerns with about generator noise against and the right to own a generator by issuing an innovative specific regulation that secures the right of access to generators allows residents to secure a generator for their home with the proper permit while still protecting the neighbors of those homes from excessive noise disturbances. I have also seen the board adjust the laws on the location of air conditioning units in response to public demand. In the days following Sandy, I witnessed the quick and effective response to a disaster in our village by our dedicated board as well as the staff of the village. to a great deal of applications for variances for placement of units.  In the aftermath of Sandy, the board is currently reviewing its policies on tree removal in response to concerns raised by residents and board members alike.
