It is that time again for the Manhasset community to make our voices heard on the school budget vote on May 19. Issues affecting the future of our children and the quality of their education are at stake as we vote on a proposed budget increase of 0.87 percent over last year.
We will also have the opportunity to vote on a proposition to use the capital reserve fund, at no additional cost to the taxpayers, to replace bleachers and renovate locker rooms at the secondary school building. We urge every one of you to make a difference and take the time to vote. History has shown that every vote in these elections is critical and there are no predetermined results. Please do not rely on your neighbor, come down to vote!
