I have known Adam Haber for ten years. I have witnessed his long-term commitment to fighting childhood leukemia working with the Jimmy Fund. He worked in Mississippi after Katrina and Iowa after the floods with All Hands Volunteers, a non-profit organization of second responders, and was responsible for bringing them to Long Island after Sandy where they have worked on 200 homes in Long Beach.
Adam Haber has experience running a small business and common sense. While serving on the Roslyn School Board, Adam thought to refinance their debt, and did, saving the district $2 million. He thought to partner with neighboring districts to save on busing, and did, saving the district $100,000. Adam also thought to renegotiate broadcast rights to air varsity sports, brought other districts on board, and renegotiated. And, before the district renegotiated these contracts, Adam got a Harvard University Business School club to analyze the data and give him a recommended percent to negotiate for. Adam’s ideas added up to at least $10 million dollars in savings and earnings in four years for the Roslyn School District.
Adam is self-effacing. He puts his money where his mouth is. He is experienced, smart and has integrity. He is a man you would be honored to have run your county.
Vote for Adam Haber in the Democratic primary on Tuesday, September 10.
