The goal of SDM is to improve student performance. Topics and agendas are established through consensus. Responsibilities of members include mandatory attendance at monthly meetings, communication among the team, the stakeholder group, and the executive SCA, and the ability to dedicate a limited amount of time to the efforts being put forth.
During the week of March 4, Munsey Park School hosted its annual Scholastic Book Fair fundraiser. The book fair committee, led by Co-chairs Kim Haggerty and Dana Malvey, transformed the Munsey Park Library into a busy bookstore for the week. This year’s theme, Story Laboratory, featured decorations recreating a science laboratory, including laboratory doors with caution tape and a simulated keypad, in addition to an oversized “book robot” at the book fair entrance. The popular family night event kicked-off the exciting book fair week, and featured a visit from author, David Adler, of the “Cam Jansen” series, who was on-hand to sign books.
