Nassau County Legislator Judi Bosworth (D-Great Neck) congratulated the members of Manhasset High School’s Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team, the New York State Class “C” Champions and their coach, Bill Cherry, the Nassau County Conference IV Coach of the Year.
“This championship marks the third time that Manhasset has won the New York State Boys Lacrosse Championship,” Legislator Bosworth said. “This group of boys had an incredible season, with a stellar record of 20 wins and only one loss. They should all be congratulated for their hard work and determination and for bringing such a great honor to their school and the county.”
Manhasset has an enduring lacrosse tradition which began back in the 1930’s. Manhasset has been the breeding ground for many great athletes, including most famously, Jim Brown.
