Play for Plandome Soccer Club This Fall

And Still Play for Other Clubs of Your Choice

Just one week after Lucas Glover held off Tiger Woods & Co. to win the US Open at Bethpage Black, some of Plandome’s up and coming soccer stars were making their own history at the Bethpage State Park.

FC Inter Soccer, Inc. entered two teams into the 2009 Independence Cup, and both played some great soccer against some very difficult opponents.
The second grade boys team placed first in its division and won its semi-final match against teams from Albertson, Merrick, and Oceanside, outscoring them 16-2. Although they lost in the finals 8-4, they trailed at one point in the second half just 4-3 to Syosset, who hadn’t given up a goal in the entire tournament while scoring 22. Not bad for a team that only trained for two weeks and had two kindergarten players on its roster!
Members of the team from Manhasset included: Chris Alcaraz, Stelio Katopodis, Timothy Kiggins, John Mastando, Nico Miradoli, Louis Perfetto, Bryce Thalheimer, and Steven Theodoropoulos. Congratulations to the boys. The squads picked up some new players and will be playing for Plandome Soccer Club this fall against teams like BW Gottschee, Dix Hills, Massapequa, New Hyde Park, POB, and yes, Syosset. All this, while still being able to play for the intramural or developmental club of their choice.
