Ninth-graders at Massapequa High School - Ames Campus used their physical education time to learn about heart-healthy choices, including diet and exercise.

The group took their commitment to promote good health to another level when they participated in Hoops for Heart to support the American Heart Association.

Students raised pledges and participated in a series of three-on-three basketball games, and as a result were able to present the American Heart Association with $2,108.
