The Cradle of Aviation presents “Comedy at the Cradle!” This 90-minute comedy extravaganza will take place under the stars of the Cradle’s brand new 300-seat Dome Theater. “Comedy at the Cradle” is the Cradle of Aviation’s inaugural show and will feature four of the East Coast’s finest comedians including Eric Haft (Caroline’s NYC, Friar’s Club) along with Rich Walker (Best of Long Island 2011 & 2012), comedian and author Peter Bales (CBS, A&E, and Dangerfield’s NYC), and headliner Carie Karavas (Comedy Central, New Joke City, Las Vegas). This hilarious night will benefit educational and STEM related programs at the Cradle which is a 501(c)(3) organization. Tickets are $35 per person in advance and $40 at the door. Starting at 7 p.m., the Town of Oyster Bay’s Department of Public Safety will host a Hurricane Preparedness Seminar that covers how to prepare for a hurricane or other weather emergency, when to evacuate, what to do when a storm hits, and how to best respond during the aftermath. The program will be conducted by leaders in the fields of meteorology and emergency management, and will be headed by Leonard B. Symons, Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Public Works.
