Bayview Florist & Montage and YES Community Counseling Center proudly present a Bridal and Gown Charity Auction at Bayview Florist, 4736 Sunrise Hwy., Massapequa Park, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. It will be an extraordinary opportunity to bid on and purchase a Nicole Miller gown at a fraction of the original price. Select styles in sample sizes 2-12 will be available and may be tried on. Champagne and light refreshments will be served. Temple Sinai of Massapequa will be holding it’s 1st Annual holiday/vendor fair on Nov 10, at 270 Clocks Ave. starting at 10 a.m. They will have more than 30 vendors including Arbonne, Cookie Lee, Madison Handbags, Origami Owl, Pampered Chef, Scentsy, Tastefully Simple, Thirty-One, Touchstone Crystals & Tupperware. Plus a variety of vendors selling specialty & handmade items such as soy candles, handmade jewelry, afghans, scarves, hair accessories, needlepointed items, light up wine bottles, sports items, homemade chocolates, electronic accessories and much more. Friends of Massapequa Preserve Fall Public Meeting

The Friends of Massapequa Preserve invite the community to its fall public meeting where it will provide an update about what has been going on throughout the Preserve during the past year. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and share their thoughts as the Preserve discusses its progress and challenges. The meeting will be held at the Massapequa Public Library, 40 Harbor Lane, at 7:30 p.m. Friends of the Massapequa Preserve is a local non-profit volunteer organization of more than 500 concerned citizens dedicated solely to protecting, preserving and restoring the 423 acres of forests, ponds and wetlands in the heart of Massapequa. The Preserve counts on its members to be the eyes and ears of the community and invites all to provide insight and concerns.

Turkey Trot

The 4th Annual Turkey Trot will take place on Saturday, Nov. 23 at Brady Park. The youth fun run will start at 8:30 a.m. and the 5K Run/Walk will start at 9 a.m. There is a stroller division too. This race benefits YES Community Counseling Center. Help raise funds to continue the fight to increase awareness, prevent and treat drug use and abuse and promote healthy families and a safe community. All details are at
