Massapequa Fire District

Regular monthly meetings are usually held every second and fourth Monday of each month at the firehouse, 1 Brooklyn Ave. , at 8 p.m. The board will also conduct monthly work sessions on the first, third, and when applicable, the fifth Monday of each month commencing at the same time. Today’s meeting was rescheduled from Oct. 26.

Dahlia Club Meeting and Class

At the 7 p.m. class, how to prepare your soil for successful gardening in 2010 will be discussed. This method will be applicable not just for dahlias, but for all plants. The later part of the class and 8 p.m. meeting will be an open forum for any dahlia topic you wish to address.
