A Double Feature of Law Enforcement Is the Movie Man’s Theme

On Saturday, Nov. 20 at 2 p.m. the 40 Harbor Lane Library will be having the Massapequa Movie Man John Carpenter hosting a law enforcement-themed classic film program double feature. And a thrilling and honorable double feature it will be as firstly the NY Veteran Police Association will initiate celebrating its 120th year anniversary by honoring Carpenter with a Humanitarian Award plaque for his boundless energy in giving the community first class entertainment.

Keeping with this theme Carpenter is presenting upon the big screen a crime-fighting hero that has been a much-requested Massapequa Park movie character. We speak of none other than two intriguing crime mysteries to be solved by rarely seen Charlie Chan. Collector Jack Roth of Yonkers has happily answered John’s request to answer the residents’ questions.

In the Jade Mask and in Black Magic (two features that Roth has informed John are the best and most intriguing crime features from the Chan series) the highly intelligent and well spoken policeman is aided by comedian Mirmingham Mantan Moreland and number one son Keye Luke to through their paces to solve all suspense and mystery that every fan has so deeply missed.
