When last week’s blizzard was approaching, phone calls were placed to residents in which Supervisor Venditto asked residents to remove their vehicles from the streets. Unfortunately, not everyone followed his request as vehicles were left parked on streets.
This made it more difficult for town workers as plows had to navigate around these vehicles. In addition, it also creates a dangerous situation, as snow is now piled up in the street, alongside these parked vehicles, instead of at the curb where it belongs. In some cases, it’s impossible to see that a car is actually buried under all the snow.
If you were one of the individuals who left your vehicle on the street, please have some consideration for town workers, your neighbors and those who must travel your block. It would be most appreciated.
