Temple Sinai of Massapequa/Amityville is hosting a golf and tennis outing to benefit its post-Superstorm Sandy recovery efforts. The community is welcome to participate in this fundraiser, which will take place at The Hamlet Golf & Country Club in Commack on June 17.
The event will include a full day of golf, tennis, and board game activities, designed for any level of play as well as supporters.
Temple Sinai’s clergy, members, the surrounding community, and contributions from nonprofits have helped with the renewal effort, but there’s still more to be done.
“Even though many of our members are still recovering from the storm, we are reaching out to all members and the surrounding community to make this golf and tennis outing both fun and supportive,” said Temple Sinai co-presidents Leslie Eichen and Bob Sailor. “This is an opportunity to come together as a community.”
Under Temple Sinai’s open-door policy, area residents are welcome to attend services at the reform congregation located at 270 Clocks Blvd. (south of Merrick Rd.), Massapequa. For more information, visit www.templesinaimassapequa.org.
