Everyone in Massapequa is aware of the powerhouse athletic teams that the high school fields year-round. For many of Massapequa High School’s top athletics, their playing days will continue on the college level.
Recently, the Massapequa Public School District Department of Athletics announced that more than 30 senior athletes plan to continue their careers both on the field and in the classroom after high school. The students have committed to participating in intercollegiate athletics at various colleges and universities beginning in the fall of 2010.
“We are very appreciative of the efforts and contributions of our senior athletes to Massapequa athletics and wish them the very best as they embark on the next phase of their educational and athletic journey,” said Massapequa Director of Health, Physical Education and Athletics John Piropato.
