On May 7, the Tigers (Play It Again Sports) defeated the A's (Willis Hobbies) 8-7 in an exciting Minors division game that wasn't decided until the last play of the game. For Play It Again Sports, pitchers Alex Maher and Jason Ward combined to give up four runs through five innings and Naoki Rufian held on in the sixth inning to preserve the victory.

For Willis Hobbies, pitchers Tyge Duffy and Michael Assalone pitched through five innings with Michael Bowen pitching a scoreless sixth to allow Willis Hobbies the chance to come back.

Play It Again Sports led 8-4 going into the bottom of the sixth with Christopher Alexander, Jason Ward, who had four hits, Payton Maier, and Raymond Tamborinio collecting key RBIs. Alex Maher also had two hits and scored two runs.

Play It Again Sports also played well in the field, throwing out two runners at home. For Willis Hobbies, Tyge Duffy had two extra base hits and four RBIs, including two in the sixth inning, and Michael Assalone had two hits including a double in the bottom of the sixth that led to the potential tying run being thrown out at the plate. Mathew Kelly also scored a run on great, heads-up base running.
