The Hofstra Dutch Festival is celebrating its 30th anniversary on Sunday, May 5 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the south campus. Ranchos Juventude e Sonhos de Portugal from the Mineola Portuguese Center, a dance ensemble led by Tony DaSilva that represents traditional Portuguese folklore will perform at noon.
The Long Island Society of St. Vincent de Paul will host its 10th Annual Golf Classic at the Tam O’ Shanter Club in Brookville, NY on Monday, May 13. The event raises money and awareness for individuals and families in need on Long Island. Thomas S. Skin Cancer, with a lifetime risk of 1 in 5 including Melanoma, is now epidemic. It is the most common form of cancer in young adults 25-29 and second among 15-25 years old.

The Family and Children’s Golf and Tennis Tournament will be held on May 23rd at the exclusive Creek Club featured in Golf Digest’s America’s Greatest Golf Courses listing. The Creek Club is located at 1 Horse Hollow Rd, Locust Valley. The Tournament begins with brunch at 10:30 a.m. followed by an afternoon of play at 12:30 p.m. shotgun start or they can choose to participate in a tennis tournament that begins at 1 p.m.
